The Lithgow Gun Emplacements can been seen at Tom Lesslie Pl, South Bowenfels NSW 2790 and is an amazing piece of local history that so few people know about.
You have probably seen this location many many times and never knew you actually saw it. It is visible from the highway, once you know it’s there.
If you have a love of local history, this is a must see.
Lithgow’s Bowenfels Gun Emplacement is the only known inland heavy anti aircraft gun emplacement of its type in NSW.
