One key feature is the Casino dome. The dome was bought in Chicago and shipped to Australia, before being shipped to the Blue Mountains by bullock train and reassembled at the site.<\/p>\n<p><strong>360\u00b0 Virtual Tours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"width: 100%; height: 640px; border: none; max-width: 100%;\" src=\"https:\/\/kuula.co\/share\/collection\/7YwD1?fs=1&amp;vr=1&amp;zoom=1&amp;autorotate=0.14&amp;autop=30&amp;autopalt=1&amp;thumbs=1&amp;info=1&amp;logo=1&amp;logosize=104\" width=\"100%\" height=\"640\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Australian retailer Mark Foy began to purchase the site in 1902 for the purposes of a hydropathic sanatorium under the belief that the land contained mineral springs.<\/p>\n<p>The Hydro Majestic site was originally three different land holdings and their buildings. The first was the country retreat of W.H. Hargraves, registrar in Equity and a trustee of the Australian Museum in Sydney, son of the man who claimed credit for the discovery of gold in New South Wales in 1851. It began as the Belgravia Hotel which was completed in 1891. The hotel was a health retreat and the building was constructed in Queen Anne style. It was owned and operated by Mr and Mrs Ellis and was acquired by Mark Foy in 1903.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.askroz.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DnaqcG-W0AA8C-F.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7686 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.askroz.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DnaqcG-W0AA8C-F.jpg\" alt=\"Hydro Majestic Hotel, Blue Mountains\" width=\"640\" height=\"477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.askroz.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DnaqcG-W0AA8C-F.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.askroz.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/DnaqcG-W0AA8C-F-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Famous guests<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Edmund Barton<\/strong>, as well as <strong>Dame Nellie Melba<\/strong> and <strong>Dame Clara Butt<\/strong>, other famous guests of the hotel have included: munitions heiress Bertha Krupp, who donated a Bechstein grand piano to the hotel;
