As the rain eases, the volume of water in the waterfalls around the Blue Mountains will decrease quickly. That being said, you should still get some great photo opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>In this article, we&#8217;ll look at some of the most popular ones.<\/p>\n<p>There are also great waterfalls in\u00a0Woodford, Hazelbrook, Lawson, Mount Victoria and Mount Wilson but all require a greater commitment to access and we&#8217;ll look at those in another article.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Use the chart, and the information below as an indicative guide only.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"background-color: #ffff00; color: #ff0000;\"><strong>WARNING<\/strong>: Regardless of where you go, never enter fast moving water, always keep away from edges and\u00a0always tell the Police your plans, if you&#8217;re heading out\u00a0beyond the norm.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure><a href=\"http:\/\/www.askroz.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Screen-Shot-2017-03-18-at-8.56.17-am.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4091 alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/www.askroz.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Screen-Shot-2017-03-18-at-8.56.17-am.png\" alt=\"Ask Roz Blue Mountains Waterfalls\" width=\"616\" height=\"802\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.askroz.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Screen-Shot-2017-03-18-at-8.56.17-am.png 616w, https:\/\/www.askroz.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Screen-Shot-2017-03-18-at-8.56.17-am-230x300.png 230w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 616px) 100vw, 616px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<h3>KATOOMBA FALLS<\/h3>\n<p>The Katoomba Falls are\u00a0a segmented waterfall that are\u00a0located close to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scenicworld.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\">Scenic World<\/a> and Echo Point.<\/p>\n<p>You can get\u00a0formed path access to a viewing lookout at <strong>Reid&#8217;s Plateau<\/strong>\u00a0and you can via the <strong>Scenic World&#8217;s Skyway<\/strong>. Both of these spots are not ideal\u00a0for a misty\/foggy day.<\/p>\n<p>You can also do the walk down to the <strong>middle level<\/strong>\u00a0of the falls where you&#8217;ll get &#8220;up close and personal&#8221;.\u00a0On the way down you&#8217;ll pass Witch&#8217;s Leap, which is\u00a0normally a\u00a0trickle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Access to Reid&#8217;s Plateau<\/strong>: Park near the Katoomba Falls Kiosk and follow the paved track to the right and through the park and follow the signs. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.askroz.com.au\/event_detail\/index\/reids-plateau\" target=\"_blank\">Ask Roz link<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Access to Middle Level<\/strong>: Park near the Katoomba Falls Kiosk. The track is very boggy in patches. Access is via the stairway\u00a0in the park. In this article we&#8217;ll look at just two. One from the bottom and one opposite.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Opposite view<\/strong>: On Cliff Drive was you drove down from the Leura Mall after a couple of turns you&#8217;ll see a sign &#8220;Bridal Veil Falls Lookout&#8221; (see map below). \u00a0Park opposite and take the track for about 10 mins. It&#8217;ll\u00a0bring to you a viewing platform looking over the falls.<\/p>\n<p>You can walk there from Leura Cascades Carpark. \u00a0Allow 1 hour for the return walk.<\/p>\n<p>This is only good if there is no fog. Walk to the end of the Cascades and take the track down into the valley for about 15min. This involves ladders and muddy water logged tracks. The path can be wet and boggy in patches and may flood immediately after very heavy rain.<\/p>\n<p>Walk on past the base of Bridal Veil Falls for about 100m to Weeping Rock Falls.<\/p>\n<h3>WENTWORTH FALLS &#8211;\u00a0PRINCE&#8217;S ROCK LOOKOUT<\/h3>\n<p>Wentworth Falls are impressive all year round, and\u00a0spectacular\u00a0after heavy rain.<\/p>\n<p>While you can walk down to the top of the falls and across and follow the National Pass walk. Access across the falls can be blocked after heavy rain. Another way to get a great view is from Prince&#8217;s Rock Lookout.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.askroz.com.au\/event_detail\/index\/lookout-princes-rock-lookout\">Ask Roz link<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prince&#8217;s Rock Lookout<\/strong>:- Park in the main falls car park and take the path down to the lookout.
